There are many software development processes, but some core elements are found in most of them. This knowledge map displays the, in my opinion, important entities of a software development process. It shows structural and chronological dependenices.
many things are left our in sake of simplicity. But I think this map clearly shows that a software development is much more than sitting down and hacking a few thousand lines of code into the keybard. Implementation is a central, but not extraordinarily big part of the whole process.
